 The actual trigger on your 1911 has very little to do with trigger pull or feel of the trigger that you experience when shooting your 1911. The feel and function of firing your 1911 is actually determined by the engineering and fit of your hammer, sear, disconnector and the correct selection of the main spring and sear spring. A high price trigger with low quality fire control components will still result in a poor un-wanted trigger pull. 

Most OEM components are only induction heat treated, and cannot be stoned without losing their hardness on the edges. this results in the trigger pull changing over time.

The Extreme Engineering Fire Control components, are truly space age. They are manufactured from the same alloy that rocket booster engines are made from. There is no need to stone them to fit or function, The hooks on the hammer are perfect, and there’s no reason to stone the sear either. As a Drop In, this kit will give you a clean 3 pound trigger pull. With slight tweaking of the sear spring this set can be set for 2 1/4 pound trigger pull that is reliable and will not change.

The 1911 LiteSpeed II Chamfered Hammer is designed for the competitive shooter that demands the fastest lock time possible with a hammer that will provide a very light trigger pull and stand up to the punishing demands of firing thousands of rounds in practice and competition. The 1911 Light Speed II Chamfered Hammer weighs .3 OZ and is heat treated through out to 50-54 RC for maximum wear resistance. Fits 1911, Kimber, Springfield, Colt, STI, SV, and Para.

Extreme Engineer Ultra Low Mass Sear

Manufactured from the same aerospace steel alloy as Extreme Engineering premium hammers. Extremely low mass due to innovative recontouring. Designed to be used for extremely light trigger pulls. Faster reset time due to low mass which reduces chances of following with very light trigger pulls. Sear bearing surface micro honed to produce that 2 lb. pull easily. Heat treated to 53-56 Rockwell C for extreme durability. Out lasts all other sears now on the market. Competition proven. If your having problems with follows with a light trigger pull set up, this is the sear that corrects the problem. Fits Kimber, Springfield, 1911, STI, SV, and Para. Ultra Light Low-Mass Sear.

Extreme Engineer Ultra Low Mass Race Disconnector

Designed to be used for extremely light trigger pulls. Faster reset time due to low mass reduces the chance of the trigger system not reconnecting causing a failure to fire when the trigger is being pulled extremely fast for double taps.
